Arts Reporter, Radio de Radio-Canada
I'm an artsl reporter for the Nova Scotia / Newfoundland edition of the daily morning show Le réveil. I always thought it would be really interesting to work in radio, and even more so for CBC/Radio-Canada. Pursuing my career with the public broadcaster has a certain prestique to it, and it’s a dream for me to be working here.
Since I started out at Radio de Radio-Canada, I’ve worked on a number of programs, including En rafale and Les 44 coups, but I have a more prominent on-air presence with Le réveil. I do one interview a day, and I also put together arts news items that I read with the host on the air. We really click, which makes my work even more pleasant. I must say that what I love the most is heading out into the field to cover events in our region – and seeing what’s happening on the local arts scene.
What inspires me is the teamwork. We’re a small team, but we work really hard and we’re all very driven! We share a thirst for knowledge and continuous self-improvement. When you work here, you can’t be afraid to get your feet wet and try new things. Above all else, I always jump at the chance to get out there and see my guests in their element!
