Technical Producer, Television Productions, Radio-Canada
Ever since I was a kid, I've always seen CBC/Radio-Canada as setting the standard for television, both in content and technical quality. It's fun and motivating to get up in the morning knowing you're going to create a well-crafted, well-thought-out, and well-executed product.
for almost six years now, I've been working as a technical producer with Télévision de Radio-Canada. In this role, I oversee production crews and all the technical aspects involved in putting on a TV show – from cameras, sound and lighting, to scenery and remotes. You have to meet the needs of production teams.
What brought me to CBC/Radio-Canada? I wanted to work in high definition and CBC/Radio-Canada was the first network to get equipped for HD broadcasting. So it's a stimulating environment for me, one where I'm constantly exposed to leading-edge technology.
I find it really motivating to be part of a team that produces high-quality programming. There are always new things to learn here, and you meet talented people from all backgrounds. It's very enriching.
