From production facilities and equipment to real estate properties; from transmission and distribution infrastructure to mobile as well as IT and telecom infrastructure; we are sitting on — and in — a great deal of property and equipment that no longer supports the public broadcaster we need to become.

As part of reimagining the public broadcaster, we will reduce our real estate footprint by 50 per cent, representing approximately two million square feet.

Further, as we shift from public broadcaster to public media company, and focus on partnering to develop content, we will explore opportunities to reduce, rethink or eliminate aspects of the current infrastructure, such as reducing the technology footprint, reducing in-house production and rethinking bricks-and-mortar locations.
