CBC/Radio-Canada opposed to the use of its content in political advertisements

January 19, 2011

Last night, CBC/Radio-Canada wrote to all federal political parties to remind them that the Corporation opposes the use of its content in political advertisements.

CBC/Radio-Canada has consistently taken this position in order to protect its neutrality and journalistic integrity.

Enclosed is the letter, (PDF) signed by Bill Chambers, Vice-President, Brand, Communications and Corporate Affairs, and sent to the federal parties.
