CBC/Radio-Canada and the negotiating committee of the Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached after an intensive round of negotiations. The final wording was approved by the parties over the past few days. The agreement will be submitted to SCRC members for ratification at the union’s April 21 general meeting.
Throughout discussions, the atmosphere around the bargaining table was respectful and constructive. Both the public broadcaster and the SCRC were actively committed to moving the talks forward. The negotiations followed Radio-Canada’s union structure review, which saw the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE 675), the Syndicat des technicien(ne)s et artisan(e)s du réseau français de Radio-Canada (STARF-CUPE 5757) and the Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) consolidated into a single bargaining unit.
More information will be shared at a later time.
