The President of the Real Estate Division is in charge of asset management for the Corporate real estate portfolio, excluding transmission sites. He leads space modernization initiatives to ensure that all CBC/Radio-Canada employees have facilities that suit their function. His activities also involve divesting or renting surplus assets to free up funds for programming.
Supported by 48 employees and a team from SNC-Lavalin Profac, the President, Real Estate Division, is responsible for the facility management of a total of 89 properties, representing 4.4 million square feet of occupied space across Canada. The Real Estate Division also manages leasing transactions for 11 foreign bureaus abroad.
This executive is expected to visit work locations and project sites. He attends industry and stakeholder events and meets with stakeholders and industry experts across Canada and occasionally outside the country.
The President of the Real Estate Division attends Senior Executive Team meetings every six weeks in Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. He also attends meetings of the Corporation’s Board of Directors six times a year across the country.
